In Krasnoyarsk, due to a sharp rise in water level, the Yenisei overflowed its banks and flooded the embankment on Strelka. Fences will be installed there, Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin said on social networks.
Starting today, the Yenisei Basin Water Administration has established a new water discharge regime for the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station. Daily discharge flows increased by almost 800 cubic meters – up to 4.5 thousand. From May 18 they will be raised by another 500 cubic meters.
The head of the city assures that this will not affect infrastructure and residential buildings, but will require additional security measures. He instructed operational services to strengthen monitoring of the Yenisei coastline, pay special attention to the uninterrupted operation of water intakes and monitor coastal areas.
One of these places is the road to Borovoye, it runs near the river. Flooded areas will be filled there. Monitoring of the level of small rivers also continues.
