During a meeting of the High Anti-Corruption Court on May 13, the lawyer of the former head of the Office of the President Andrei Yermak, Igor Fomin, refuting the arguments of the prosecutor's office about the influential connections of his client, suddenly mixed up the positions of his client. The meeting was broadcast by VAKS on YouTube.
“Well, what can you do, Ermak was first a people’s deputy…” said the lawyer.
Ermak immediately interrupted him, noting that “thank God, he wasn’t.”
“Were not? No? Sorry. Not a people’s member, but a deputy of our parliament,” Fomin clarified.
However, Ermak objected again.
“Consultant,” he said. From 2007 to 2014, Ermak was an assistant to the people's deputy from the Party of Regions, Elbrus Tedeev.
After this, Fomin added that Ermak headed the OP for six years and his connections are typical for such a position.
“What kind of acquaintances might he have? Like each of us, people he encountered at work,” the lawyer added.
