Natural dyes can be a safe alternative. Among them are onion husks, beets, turmeric and paprika, red wine, karkade and red-hot cabbage, writes the North Press.
On the Internet they offer many unusual staining methods. However, not all of them should be used if the eggs are planned to be eaten. You can not paint eggs with acrylic, gouache, watercolor, felt -tip pens and markers. The substances contained in them can penetrate the pores in the shell and lead to poisoning. Also, do not decorate eggs with yarn, fabrics and threads. They have pigments that cannot be used with food.
