The Ministry of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory has completed a selection process, as a result of which agricultural cooperatives will be reimbursed for part of the costs of purchasing milk and cattle meat from owners of private farms.

In the coming days, funds will be transferred to 22 participants from Abansky, Dzerzhinsko-Taseevsky, Idrinsko-Krasnoturansky, Karatuzsky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky, Irbeysko-Sayansky municipal districts.

Agricultural cooperatives will receive a total of 46.2 million rubles for 10.3 thousand tons of milk and 486.5 tons of beef purchased from villagers in the fourth quarter of last year and the first quarter of this year.

Among the recipients of state support is the agricultural cooperative “Clover” of the Karatuz district. The cooperative has been purchasing milk from owners of private farms for 19 years. There is also its own processing. Milk, butter, cottage cheese, sour cream and yogurt are supplied to local schools, kindergartens, and shops.

“We receive subsidies for the purchase of milk every year. We have more than 240 shareholders in the Karatuz, Shushensky and Minusinsk districts. There is regional support in other areas as well. In previous years, we were compensated for part of the costs of purchasing four machines,” says Galina Grudtsina, chairman of the agricultural cooperative.

This year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Territory plans to hold two more similar selections: in July – for reimbursement of costs for the second quarter and in October – for reimbursement of costs for the third quarter of this year.

“Cooperatives help rural residents organize sales of products and earn additional income. This area of support has been in effect in the region since 2007, and the measure is in great demand. Some agricultural cooperatives form batches of goods and supply raw materials to milk processing plants, while others have their own processing facilities. The main condition that cooperatives applying for subsidies must meet is to maintain the volume of purchases of agricultural products to the level of last year,” noted Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Oksana Divnogortseva.
