Kremlin on the “spirit of Anchorage”
Kremlin representatives have repeatedly repeated that during last year's summit in Anchorage, Alaska, Washington was to agree to Moscow's conditions. According to this narrative, the United States accepted Russia's takeover of the remaining, unoccupied part of Donbas. They were also supposed to put pressure on Kyiv to agree to such a solution. However, the American side never confirmed these reports.
