The son of a well-known businessman from Criaova, detained by the police after allegedly stealing clothes from a store
A 24-year-old man from Craiova was detained by the police for 24 hours, being investigated for aggravated theft and carrying or using dangerous objects without the right, after allegedly stealing several clothes from a store in the municipality. According to judicial sources, it is about Laith Bacri, known as Bacriz Junior, the son of the well-known Arab businessman Bacriz from Craiova.

The incident happened on April 29, 2026, around 3:30 p.m., when the policemen from the Craiova Police Station 5 were alerted by the security guard of a clothing store.
After checks carried out on the spot, the police determined that the young man would have removed the alarm systems of several products and would have tried to leave the store with the items on him.
The total damage was estimated at 580 lei.
The suspect was spotted and stopped by the security guard before leaving the premises.
Following the body control carried out by the police, a cutting-stabbing object was discovered on the young man, which was taken away for further investigation.
He was taken to hearings, and based on the administered evidence, under the coordination of the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Craiova District Court, his detention was ordered for 24 hours.
