Italian TV presenter Diletta Leotta gave birth to Leonardo, the second child from her marriage to Schalke 04 goalkeeper Loris Karius.
Leonardo was born at the end of this week, and the two parents were quick to post pictures on Instagram. The boy is the second child of the couple that Diletta Leotta (34 years old) forms with Loris Karius (32 years old), from Schalke 04.

They have been together since October 2022, when the German goalkeeper was still wearing the shirt of Newcastle United. Their daughter was born in August 2023 and they married in June 2024.

For Karius, Leonardo's birthday comes just days after he celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga with Schalke, where he has been playing since January 2025. Diletta then congratulated the Miners' goalkeeper on social media.

“This sport can be tough, sometimes ruthless… It exposes you, tests you, lets you fall in front of everyone. But if you find the strength to persevere, to keep believing, sooner or later it will bring you back, where you belong,” the TV presenter wrote on Instagram.
Schalke returned to the first stage of German football after three years in the 2. Bundesliga. And Karius also spent a year and a half in the second division with the “miners”. The German goalkeeper's contract with Ciprian Marica's former club is valid until 2027.
