Ukraine and Russia accuse each other of violating the truce brokered by Trump. What are the armies of the two camps doing in the meantime

Ukraine and Russia accused each other on Saturday of violating the ceasefire that was agreed for three days, a truce negotiated by the US and announced by US President Donald Trump on Friday.
“Since the beginning of the day, the number of attacks carried out by the aggressor has reached 51,” the General Staff of the Ukrainian Army indicated.
“Despite the cease-fire declaration, Ukrainian armed groups launched drone and artillery attacks against the positions of our troops,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said in turn.
What does the pause in hostilities help anyway
On the other hand, the spokesman of the Ukrainian army, Viktor Trehubov, stated in Kiev that the Ukrainian and Russian forces are taking advantage of the current ceasefire to rotate troops and bring reinforcements to the front.
“The Russians are taking a break today and are using it to bring in reinforcements, rotate forces and restore their offensive capabilities,” said Trehubov. He added that similar activities also take place on the Ukrainian side, reports AFP and DPA, quoted by Agerpres.
He qualified the current situation on the right front line as relatively calm for the moment, although there are isolated fights, but of a lower intensity than usual.
Putin and Zelensky accepted Trump's truce
American President Donald Trump announced on Friday evening a three-day truce between Ukraine and Russia, starting on Saturday, May 9, until Monday, May 11.
In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said that this cease-fire request was made directly by him and that he “very much appreciates” that Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky agreed.
The ceasefire was then confirmed by both Ukraine and Russia.
Trump also announced that during the suspension of hostilities, the parties will also exchange prisoners, 1,000 from each camp.
The White House leader expressed his hope that the ceasefire will be extended beyond May 11 and that it will mark the beginning of the end of the war.
But this three-day truce is the third proposed this week. Both Ukraine and Russia announced unilateral ceasefires in the past few days and accused the other side of violating them.
