Alexandru Meszar, the president of UTA Arad, spoke about the situation of the defender Florent Poulolo, a player on the list of Dinamo Bucharest.
The leader of the Aradians explained that the player has an extension offer on the table, but the club will not enter into “auction” type negotiations to keep him.
Alexandru Meszar, about Poulolo's future: “He hasn't given us an answer yet, we have to hear each other after the championship ends”
The official of the Aradenian team said that the player has not yet given a final answer to the club's proposal.
“We proposed him an offer for extension with a slight salary increase. He hasn't given us an answer yet, we have to hear from him after the championship is over. We do not know, possibly, he will choose.
We respect club policy and will not enter into auctions. So the offer I made to him remains fixed regardless of what other offers he has. But we are happy with his developments and we also respect his choice to choose at the end of the season.”
Asked about the interest from Dinamo, Alexandru Meszar minimized the rumors regarding an imminent transfer.
“Rumors, rumours. In any case, he could negotiate with any club in the last six months of his contract, but announce the club he is registered with. Since he didn't let us know, we assume it's nothing“, he declared, according to digisport.ro.
Important changes at UTA Arad
At the end of the season, UTA Arad is preparing a series of changes in the team. The club wants to rejuvenate and restructure the squad, and several players are already on the departure or uncertainty list.
Among the foreigners expected to be retained are Pospelov, Alomerovic, Tzionis, Van Durmen or Abdallah, depending on the offers received. Also, Ime Ndom and Luka Gojkovic are close to parting ways, while Ovidiu Popescu is, in turn, in danger of leaving the club.
