Employees of the traffic police regiment conducted a check and identified the driver – he turned out to be a 16-year-old teenager. The guy now faces administrative liability under Part 2 of Art. 12.30 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the Traffic Rules by a pedestrian or other road user, resulting in interference with the movement of vehicles or causing minor or moderate harm to the health of the victim.” In addition, the victim has the right to demand compensation for treatment costs and moral damages.
“This case highlights the importance of compliance with traffic rules by everyone, including e-scooter drivers, who are increasingly becoming road users and must be held accountable for their actions. SIM drivers need to be attentive and careful, especially when driving on sidewalks, so as not to pose a threat to pedestrians,” the police noted.
