By decision No. 12 of the Presidium of the Birobidzhan City Council, Kazakevich Lane was renamed Sovetsky Lane.
May 8, 1974
By the Decree of the Presidium of the Council of the RSFSR, for the achieved production successes and in connection with the 40th anniversary of the Jewish Autonomous Region, the following were awarded with Certificates of Honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR: the Dalselmash plant, the Khinganolovo plant, the Birobidzhan textile and clothing factory, and the Partizanskaya poultry farm of the Smidovichi district.
By the same Decree, for the achievements achieved in the communist education of students and in connection with the 40th anniversary of the JAO, secondary school No. 1 of Birobidzhan was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR.
The challenge Red Banner of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and the Central Committee of the Komsomol was awarded to the Dezhnevsky state farm for achieving the highest results in the All-Union Socialist Competition; Challenge Red Banner of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR and the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions – to the collective farm “Zavety Ilyich”.

The opening of a park named after the 30th anniversary of the Victory took place in Birobidzhan. Throughout the history of its existence, Victory Square has changed its appearance several times.
In the year of the opening of the square, in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War, a huge brucite stone was installed with the inscription on its polished surface: “Square named after the 30th anniversary of the Victory. May 9, 1975.” During the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Jewish Autonomous Region, the fire of Glory (now the Eternal Flame) was lit for the first time in Victory Square.

On May 8, 2015, the grand opening of the Alley of Heroes took place in Victory Square. This memorial was built with public funds donated by caring residents of the region. The names of Heroes of the Soviet Union and full holders of the Order of Glory who lived in the Jewish Autonomous Region are imprinted on the pylons.

In the newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) for May 8, 2002, in V. Antonov's note “The Museum of Glory is open for Victory Day” reports the opening in Birobidzhan of a new museum – the military and labor glory of the Jewish Autonomous Region. The opening of such a museum was initiated by a participant in the Great Patriotic War, famous journalist and local historian Efim Iosifovich Kudish.
The museum has unique exhibits, one of them is a preserved original photo of Hero of the Soviet Union I. R. Bumagin.
Separate stands of the museum are dedicated to home front workers, our fellow countrymen, holders of rare orders. 30% of the museum’s exhibits are items from the personal archive of E. I. Kudisha.
