The war against Iran has cost the United States $25 billion to date. According to Reuters, Pentagon auditor Jules Hurst said this at a meeting of the House Armed Services Committee.
Most of these funds are spent on ammunition, he said.
Hearst did not detail what that cost estimate includes or whether it takes into account the projected costs of rebuilding and repairing the infrastructure of U.S. bases in the Middle East damaged during the conflict.
