The Future Ready Conference, a dialogue on essential early career skills

The Future Ready conference took place on May 7 and brought together 130 early career participants and business professionals. Gerasimos Contoguris, People & Culture Director, Philip Morris Romania, spoke at the opening of the event about the importance of a mindset focused on growth, and Carmina Fuste, general director, Philip Morris Romania, emphasized the role of a personal mission and self-knowledge in the professional course. Cornel Amariei, CEO and founder of .lumen, DOC, artist, Andrei Costescu, technology expert, and Armina Dobrića, co-founder of Rookeyz, were special guests and discussed with the participants about the skills of the future and the transition from academic life to the labor market.

Conceived as a relevant event in an increasingly dynamic professional context, the Future Ready conference brought to the fore themes such as creativity, the impact of artificial intelligence on the way of working, adaptability and collaboration, but also concrete topics related to the first interactions with employers. The audience was made up of students and graduates keen to understand what professional skills are important in today's job market and how they can make informed decisions about their early careers. The conference was organized by Philip Morris Romania, as part of its educational dialogue initiatives.

The Future Ready agenda included keynote sessions and discussion panels with professionals from various areas of the business, who addressed how professional roles are changing, mutual expectations from a recruitment process and the importance of building a relevant professional path, beyond the first titles or experiences in the CV. The practical component was supported by interactive and networking sessions, designed to encourage direct dialogue and real exchange of perspectives.

Beyond discussions of emerging trends and skills, the event emphasized the importance of early career clarity and the role of organizations in supporting people's long-term development.
