INNOCONSTRUCT 2026: the conference that discusses the present and defines the future of construction

At a time when the construction sector is called upon to respond simultaneously to major pressures — new regulations, increasingly closely watched costs, the need for efficiency, digitalization, sustainability and real collaboration between specialties — INNOCONSTRUCT 2026 is an invitation to professional maturation and shared responsibility.
On May 14 and 15, 2026, at the Nord Events Center by Globalworth, INNOCONSTRUCT brings together leaders from administration, construction companies, architecture, design, technology, education, certification and innovation for two days of applied dialogue about Romania's built future. INNOCONSTRUCT 2026 is not only a stage event, but also a workspace. Participants come not only to listen, but to contribute: with experiences, questions, solutions, real difficulties and ideas that can become pilot projects, collaborations or directions for action.
Registration for the event is done on the website https://innoconstruct.ro/.
Organized by Cluster TEC – Technology Enabled Construction, the event reaches its sixth edition this year and strengthens its role as the main meeting platform for actors who do not just discuss the transformation of the industry, but put it into practice. Over 400 participants, over 40 speakers and an unprecedented debate format, which those present in the hall will discover.
Day 1: Actors shaping smart building – beneficiaries, architects and designers, builders, innovators and technology developers
The panel dedicated to beneficiaries as artisans of smart cities and buildings brings into discussion the way in which the quality of an investment is defined, right from the theme stage. How do we move from functional requirements to performance requirements? How do we integrate the lifetime cost of a building? How is the way administration, developers and large beneficiaries look at investment responsibility changing?
Next comes the perspective of architects and designers, in a panel dedicated to sustainability, circularity and the quality of the user experience. It is no longer enough to design buildings that “work”. The stake becomes the design of energy-efficient, healthy, adaptable spaces, integrated in the logic of cities and able to meet increasingly complex standards.
For builders, the discussion moves into the area of economic efficiency and execution. How can the precision needed to reduce resource waste and carbon footprint be achieved? What level of standardization and specialization is realistic? How can companies remain profitable and at the same time invest in development, digitization and innovation?
The day ends with a panel dedicated to innovative technologies: BIM, interoperability, data security, GIS integration in BIM, artificial intelligence in construction, mono-pile foundations, ventilated facades, thermal insulation solutions and fire resistance. Not as a demonstration exercise, but as concrete tools for transparency, traceability, efficiency and better decisions.
The second day: from the debate on the big themes to applied work on 12 specific topics
If the first day opens the big themes, the second day brings them closer to practice, through debates, round tables and working groups on themes that directly touch the reality of the industry: pilot projects with BIM requirements, constructions in the health field, technical proposals, waste recycling in constructions, ventilated facades, sustainability, skills needed in the sector and the correlation with European practices.
One of the strong themes of the 2026 edition is the need for new skills. Digitization, sustainability, circular economy, certification, micro-certification and alignment with European practices cannot remain just concepts in strategic documents.
They must be translated into trained people, clear processes, firms capable of delivering and institutions that can support the transformation.
INNOCONSTRUCT 2026 invites you to express yourself and participate in the dialogue, because beyond materials, machines, digital platforms and standards, the constructions of the future will depend on people's ability to work differently. For the second day, it is necessary to reserve the place for the preferred debate among the 12 parallel debates.
A platform built with the industry
INNOCONSTRUCT's strength also comes from the fact that the event is supported by companies and organizations that work directly in transforming the sector. Partners such as BogArt, Construcții Erbașu, CDS, Concelex and WEMAT, together with companies in the area of technology, design, engineering, materials, digital services and construction solutions, contribute to the consolidation of a platform where dialogue is connected to practice.
Beyond the companies that support the dialogue, INNOCONSTRUCT relies on strong partnerships built over time with the Technical University of Constructions Bucharest, the Federation of Patronages of Construction Societies, the Patronage of Construction Societies, the Social House of Constructors, the Order of Energy Auditors from Romania, the Association of Installation Engineers from Romania, the Association of Structural Engineers, the Order of Architects from Romania and Clustero.
On May 14 and 15, in Bucharest, the walls between disciplines, organizations and decisions begin to fall. And in their place something much more valuable can emerge: a dynamic community of people building together.
