Compared to the previous week, prices of a cubic meter of fuel dropped from PLN 120 to even PLN 252. This trend is expected to translate into retail prices in the coming days.
What will we see on the pylons?
According to forecasts, by mid-May we will see a gradual decline in prices of all types of fuel. e-petrol.pl analysts indicated specific price ranges:
- Gasoline 95: PLN 6.27 – PLN 6.36/l
- Diesel: PLN 6.99 – PLN 7.11/l
- Gasoline 98: PLN 6.78 – PLN 6.88/l
- Autogas (LPG): PLN 3.68 – PLN 3.77/l
These movements are confirmed by official regulations. According to the announcement of the Minister of Energy, from Saturday to Monday the price of the popular “ninety-five” cannot exceed PLN 6.35 per liter, which is a significant drop compared to the Friday limit of PLN 6.41.
Reserve trap and growing demand
Despite optimistic short-term forecasts, experts tone down the mood, pointing to the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran. Even if a political agreement is reached, a return to normality will not happen overnight.
“Rebuilding full supplies from the region may take weeks, and during this time economies will consume accumulated reserves while seasonal demand for fuels will increase,” warn e-petrol.pl representatives.

Aviation is sounding the alarm
The effects of expensive energy are already painfully felt in international transport. Experts cite data from the American market, where airlines spent as much as 56% on fuel in March. more than a month earlier. This is a warning signal for the entire global economy.
“The price of a gallon of this fuel has increased by 31 percent, and at the same time fuel consumption has increased. This shows that rising energy prices are starting to have an increasingly greater impact on transport costs, and in the coming months it may also translate into higher inflation and price pressure in many sectors of the economy.” – sum up analysts.
Everything indicates that although Polish drivers will temporarily feel relief, the global energy market remains in a phase of high tension, and any change in the Middle East will have an immediate impact on the cost of living in Europe.
