A series of six games for teenagers, organized by volunteers of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Plant of the En+ company, ended in Divnogorsk.
The events took place during the academic year as part of the “Alternative Future” project developed by the Polden Foundation. More than 30 people took part.
At the meetings, teenagers got acquainted with the basics of labor legislation: the structure of an employment contract, employee rights, as well as possible difficulties when entering the labor market for the first time. In addition, during team work, ways to constructively resolve conflicts, self-presentation skills, planning a career trajectory, and developing empathy were discussed.
“The sixth game turned out to be special – we summed up the results of the entire project,” said Ekaterina Artishevskaya, En+ corporate volunteering manager. “Not every adult would have been able to travel such a path without difficulty, but teenagers, although sometimes in need of support, still confidently moved forward. During the games, my fellow volunteers and I gained new experience and learned to understand the younger generation more. The children also opened up and became more confident. We look forward to meeting you again!”
School No. 9 in Divnogorsk, where the games were held, noted the long-term benefits of the project.
“Such meetings give teenagers support: self-confidence, ability to work in a team, understanding of how life works outside of school. Joint projects allow us not only to enrich the educational process, but also to give children additional support from the station’s volunteers,” noted Natalya Dick, deputy director of school No. 9.
The game participants also shared their experiences.
“I went to the first game not only with interest, but also with excitement – there were a lot of children, each with their own story. Already during the games it became clear that the guys were interested and were listening. Some need a little more time, others need support. Seeing their burning eyes and hearing the question “when will you be back?” “is a huge source of inspiration,” said Alena Zabolotnyaya, an employee of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station.
The next series of games is planned in Divnogorsk in the fall of 2026. The program will include new modules aimed at developing a conscious attitude towards the physical and mental health of adolescents.
