Magyar's brother-in-law will not become a minister. The future Prime Minister of Hungary comments

Mellethei-Barna indicated the reasons for the decision
Mellethei-Barna emphasized that it was a great honor for him, and the proposal resulted from substantive reasons – not from family ties or long-standing friendship. “However, the social consensus on the rule of law and justice must be strengthened, not weakened. Family and friendly relations with the prime minister are not conducive to this,” Mellethei-Barna wrote.
Mellethei-Barna stressed that his participation in the government would be unquestionable in all respects. “Now I can support national unity by withdrawing,” he noted. He had previously agreed on the decision with the TISHA leader.
Mellethei-Barna pointed out that the future prime minister would entrust the management of the Ministry of Justice to a professional who would be publicly judged solely on the basis of his achievements. However, the MP remains a member of parliament.
Magyar and the reaction to the decision to resign from his brother-in-law
In a comment to the statement, Magyar thanked his brother-in-law on Facebook for his commitment to the country and the TISZA environment and for making this difficult decision. He assured that Mellethei-Barna would be an excellent head of the ministry. Magyar will present a new candidate for this position on Friday.
The inaugural session of the new Hungarian Parliament, during which Peter Magyar will be sworn in as Prime Minister, will take place on Saturday, May 9.
