❗️A Russian tried to commit self-immolation on Red Square in Moscow
The 74-year-old president of the scientific institute, Vladimir Arsenyev, doused himself with flammable liquid and set himself on fire a few meters from the Mausoleum of V. I. Lenin.
The police intervened in the process – they threw the failed suicide to the ground and quickly extinguished it. The elderly man was almost unharmed and is now being interrogated.
