Wesley Sneijder, Champions League winner in 2010 with Interhad a forceful intervention at halftime of the match between Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, score 1-0from the second leg of the UCL semi-finals.

After a 1-1 draw in Madrid, Arsenal went 1-0 up at half-time at the Emirates after Saka scored in the 45th minute. Sneijder was unimpressed by the first half.

The former offensive midfielder of the Dutch national team, world vice champion in 2010, criticized the performance of the two teams. He was ironic and asked UEFA to cancel the match at the Emirates, wanting the final to be played between Bayern and PSG, the opponents in the other semi-final.

Wesley Sneijder: “I felt like calling UEFA to cancel the match. Final be it

“I said after 35 minutes: UEFA must intervene”Sneijder began his tirade during the Dutch review, as quoted by voetbalprimeur.nl.

“They need to call London: 'Get both teams off the field and tomorrow there will be a final between Bayern and PSG'. We knew it would happen. Atletico pulled back in blocks and gave away possession and Arsenal had a lot of ball control,” Sneijder added.

Sneijder, destroyer with Arsenal players

The former Ajax, Inter and Real Madrid midfielder believes Arteta has done wonders at Arsenal, criticizing the London club's players.

“I looked at the players again and Arteta already deserves a statue. He just doesn't have top players and with the current squad he manages to push Atletico back, which is impressive. I was happy that the ball went in and I was happy for that goal,” added Sneijder.
