Krasnoyarsk residents will be given free St. George ribbons

The “Hero Ribbon” event will take place in Krasnoyarsk – one of the main symbols of Victory Day will be awarded to residents on passable and busy streets, squares and public gardens.

On May 8, from 16:00, Labor Team workers will distribute St. George ribbons and leaflets with recommendations for wearing them in eight different locations in the city:

• Central area: Theater Square;
• Sverdlovsk district: Predmostnaya square;
• Leninsky district: square named after May 1 (Yunosti St., 16);
• Sovetsky district: square near the Palace of Labor (Metallurgov Ave., 22);
• Zheleznodorozhny district: square near st. Maerchaka, 31;
• Oktyabrsky district: square in front of the Cultural Center on Vysotnaya (48 Svobodny Ave.).
• Kirovsky district: the square in front of the Krasnoyarye shopping center and Family Square (Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy Ave., 74g);

You can also get a ribbon at patriotic events of youth centers:

• May 7 at 14:00 and May 8 at 15:00 on the square in front of the cultural center on Vysotnaya (48 Svobodny Ave.);
• May 7 at 16:00 on the 50th Anniversary of Victory Square (Vavilov St.);
• May 9 from 09:00 in Berezovka on the street. Central, 19;
• May 9 from 09:30 on Red Square;
• May 9 from 14:00 on Teatralnaya Square before the start of the concert program.

“Every resident of the city can join the action and support its idea; it is enough to wear the St. George’s ribbon with respect, as a sign of memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War,” the mayor’s office said.

Let us remind you that the rules for using the St. George ribbon are established by federal law. It can be placed on the chest, near the heart, lapel or collar of clothing. It is not recommended to wear it on a headdress, sleeves, or bags; it is unacceptable to wear it on shoes. The car can be placed in the passenger compartment and on the rear view mirror holder.
