Hospital in Bucharest, left without electricity after a worker cut a cable by mistake

The CF2 hospital in Bucharest was without electricity on Tuesday around noon. The hospital is currently operating with the help of the generator, which provides electricity in “key points”, says manager Diana Mihaela Ciuc, contacted by HotNews.

The operating room and incubators are running with the help of the generator, but the hospital has had to limit admissions, given that the computers are also not working.

“Of course it also affects me in the office because I don't have light. But the patients were not affected. The generator is working for the key points in the hospital,” explained the hospital manager.

Hospital representatives have received assurances that work is currently underway to repair the damage and that all electrical circuits will be restored today.

According to the information received by the manager Diana Mihaela Ciuc from the electricity supplier, the cause could be the mistake of a worker who cut a cable: “Work is being done outside the hospital, and someone from the company's team working on the subway broke a cable. It seems that someone cut a large cable.”
