The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, spoke at the press conference held after the Summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan, Armenia, where he also referred to the performance achieved by Cristi Chivu in Italy.
On Sunday evening, Inter Milan defeated Parma, score 2-0, as a result of which the Milan team became mathematically champions, with three stages to go. It is the first title achieved by Chivu in his coaching career at the senior level, even in his debut season on the Nerazzurri bench.

After this success, Nicușor Dan was asked about Cristi Chivu's performance, and the answer was a complimentary one. The head of state emphasized the professional path of the former Romanian international and the way in which he built his career.
“First of all, he is a person I appreciate long before he is a successful coach. It is remarkable what he has achieved and I am convinced that he will have a bright future in this job. He is someone who did not rush, someone who showed devotion (…) to the job he practices.
I think that Cristian Chivu is a model for young people in sports and young people in general. He can win five championships in Italy, maybe in Great Britain”, said Nicușor Dan, according to digi24.ro.

Inter Milan only needed a positive result to close the title race, especially after the missteps made by the chasers, AC Milan and Napoli. The victory with Parma, however, eliminated all mathematical calculations and sealed a new title in Serie A.
Cristi Chivu now has a new important goal: the final of the Italian Cup. On Wednesday, May 13, Inter will meet Lazio, in a match in which the Milanese can tick off the event.
