Olguța Vasilescu demands the restoration of the alliance, but without Ilie Bolojan: “With a capable person, who understands things”

The Mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguța Vasilescu, said on Monday evening that the censure motion against the Ilie Bolojan Government would receive an “overwhelming” vote. According to her, the political approach of the PNL to convince the signatories to withdraw their support was not successful.

“Overwhelming vote. I say they got too little. They got something, but not enough.” he said, referring to the Liberals' attempts to influence support for the motion.
Olguța Vasilescu claimed that the PSD wants to restore the government alliance with the PNL, but with a different leadership. She harshly criticized Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, stating that the party believes that he is responsible for the loss of some funding from PNRR.
“We hope that this alliance will be restored, but with a capable person who understands things. We are losing funding from PNRR because of the stupidity of one man”she said to Antena3.
Olguța Vasilescu also said that, in her opinion, direct contact with citizens indicates a high level of dissatisfaction with the current prime minister. “The percentage of those who say: get rid of Bolojan is overwhelming”she said, claiming that online reactions do not reflect the reality on the ground.
Regarding possible early elections, she claimed that the PSD would obtain a score similar to that of the last parliamentary elections.
“If they are anticipated tomorrow, PSD has at least the score it had in the last parliamentary elections”, declared Vasilescu.
