Leeds beat her on Burnley 3-1 on Friday night in the 35th round of the Premier League, but attention quickly shifted to what happened at the end. The away club, already relegated to the Championship, were involved in a laughable moment.

Immediately after the final whistle, Michael Jackson's “Smooth Criminal” played at Elland Road. The choice was not accidental, given that Burnley's caretaker manager has the same name.

Fans online have focused on doctored images of the manager appearing on the sidelines in the famous white glove, to montages of Burnley players reproducing choreography inspired by 'Thriller'.

Before taking over at Burnley, Jackson worked in the Shrewsbury Town staff (2014), following the resignation of Graham Turner.

On the pitch, Leeds achieved significant success. The goals were scored by Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Loum Tchaouna scored for Burnley at the end of the game.

The win keeps Leeds nine points clear of the relegation zone at a crucial time of the season.
