PKP Cargo plans to purchase 400 specialist wagons for the transport of goods for the construction articles market – the company said in a press release. This is part of the strategy founded in the restructuring plan.
As stated, the composition of 42 Eamnos wagons will be the first to strengthen the fleet for the construction articles market – ultimately next year the company plans to purchase 400 pieces. The 4-axle Eamnos wagon is designed for transporting loose materials insensitive to moisture, such as aggregates, gravel, iron ore, mineral ore, coal, wood and steel.
“Having a new type of wagons in the PKP Cargo fleet, for which there is market demand, will increase the company's offer of the company and open new transport opportunities. Thus, it builds our competitive advantage, showing that we focus on high -quality solutions that optimize the transport process. These types of activities include both the restructuring plan and strategic operational plans,” said Agnieszka Wasilewska-Semail, president of PKP Cargo.

Apparently better -paid employees were released or additional benefits were limited.
The indicator of the transport work for the employee increased by 12.1 percent during the year. This allows the company to achieve profits, and thus investments. Without them, it will not be possible to recover the market lost to competition.
