4 mistakes when caring for zamioculcas – 99% of gardeners make them: correct them, and the leaves will become brighter than emerald, and the rachis will become thicker than an elephant

Many people believe that Zamioculcas is an unpretentious plant that can be placed in a corner, watered from time to time and waited for rapid growth. However, the author of the Zen channel “Anton the Flower Man” warns: this is not so. Make the following 5 mistakes when caring for your dollar tree, and it will become weak and lethargic, begin to grow stunted and look unkempt.

Mistake #1: Not replanting Zamioculcas for years

If Zamioculcas has stopped growing, this already indicates problems. Most likely, its roots and tubers have filled the pot and are pressing against the walls, the soil is depleted, and the plant lacks nutrients. Just transplant it into a larger pot with updated soil, and Zamioculcas will grow rapidly.

Mistake #2: Not removing the roots from the ground when transplanting

If there are rotten or dry areas in the roots, then when replanting you will save them along with pathogens in the new soil. As a result, the leaves of the zamioculcas will turn yellow and the plant itself will weaken. And if you clean the roots, you will avoid such consequences – besides, Zamioculcas adapts to new conditions much faster.

Mistake #3: Burying the root when planting

Zamioculcas does not like its roots to be deeply planted – in this case, moisture will begin to linger for a long time, and problems may arise with the root system. Place the tuber close to the soil surface. It's okay if its upper part is visible.

Mistake #4: Do not feed Zamioculcas

Without fertilizing, the plant will be weak, stunted and lethargic. Use complex fertilizer for indoor plants, and the results will amaze you.
