The 7th stage of the League 2 play-off continued on Friday afternoon with the duel in Târgoviște, between Chindia and CSA The star. Although they led most of the match, the Dambovites gave up at the end, and the “military” prevailed 2-1, after a spectacular comeback in the last minutes.
The round started with the victory of FC Voluntari, 2-1 against FC Bihor Oradea, a result that directly influenced the fight for promotion.
Chindia controlled the first half but missed the breakaway
The hosts started the game better and put pressure from the start. After a first shot by Doukoure, Chindia managed to open the scoring quickly, following a very well-worked collective phase.
Popadiuc finished excellently from outside the box with an unstoppable shot, but the goal was scored from an irregular position, as Pesic, involved in the construction, was in an offside position. In the absence of VAR, the goal was validated.

The Dambovites continued to control the game and were close to 2-0, but Pesic was unable to complete another dangerous move. On the other side, Steaua had only one notable reply in the first half, through Rubio, but without a result on the table.
CSA Steaua increased after the break and gave the final shot
The second half brought a clear change of pace. CSA Steaua came out of the locker room more determined and started to cause problems for the opposing defense.
The biggest chance came just after the break when Bobaru's cross hit the bar and Chindia made an emotional escape. As time passed, the pressure of the guests became more and more, and the final was one dominated authoritatively by the “military”.
The equalizer came after a clear goal in the box, again Chipirliu converted the shot from 11 meters without emotion. In overtime, after an error in the hosts' defense, the same Chipirliu deflected decisively for Passionatewho scored the winning goal and completed Stella's comeback.
The ranking is getting more complicated: Chindia, further away from the dam
Following this result, Chindia Târgoviște remains last in the play-off and loses important ground in the fight for the play-off, being 6 points behind FC Bihor Oradea and 9 behind Steaua.
On the other hand, Steaua climbs to 48 points and occupies the 4th place, but remains without the right to promotion. At the top, Corvinul Hunedoara is the authoritative leader, with 65 points and very close to the Superliga, while FC Voluntari (58) and Sepsi (57) are fighting for second place, which ensures direct promotion.
