Al Nassr had the strength to come back from 0-2 down, equalizing through Al Amri, but could not respond after Merih de Demiral's goal in the 55th minute to make it 3-2.
If Al Hilal beat Damac on Sunday, they will take over the championship lead from Al Nassr. Instead, Al Ahli edged closer to the podium, now just 3 points behind Al Taawon.
