President of Orlen: mistakes made in the past
Orlen's president, Ireneusz Fąfara, assessed in a letter to shareholders that the company's excellent operating results allow for optimism – PLN 41.5 billion EBITDA LIFO and over PLN 47 billion of cash flow from operating activities.
LIFO EBITDA is a key profitability indicator used by oil companies that shows operating earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation, adjusted for the impact of changes in oil prices on inventory values.
Fąfara noted that last year's results are still burdened by impairment losses resulting from past mistakes. “They cost us PLN 16 billion on balance sheet” – said the president of Orlen.
