Since joining the European Union, Poland has received over EUR 273 billion, and after taking into account contributions to the EU budget, by the end of February this year Poland has gained over EUR 171 billion – the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy announced on Friday in connection with the 22nd anniversary of Poland's accession to the EU.

“Since joining the European Union, we have received over EUR 273 billion, i.e. approximately PLN 1.1 trillion at today's exchange rate. After taking into account our contributions to the EU budget, by the end of February this year Poland has gained over EUR 171 billion, i.e. over PLN 728 billion,” wrote the Ministry of Funds in a press release
It emphasized that Poland receives much more money from the EU budget than it pays into it.
In the new EU perspective 2028-2034, Poland will be the largest beneficiary of the EU budget – we have a chance of receiving EUR 123 billion, or at today's exchange rate, over half a trillion zlotys – it was added.
MFiPR emphasized that Since joining the EU, the value of Polish GDP has increased nominally more than four times, and in real terms the Polish economy has grown by more than 130%.
“Today it is almost two and a half times larger than in 2004,” the ministry concluded. (PAP Business)
