On Wednesday morning, the same chain of gas stations also sold the cheapest premium diesel, with just over 10 lei/liter.

On Wednesday, standard gasoline prices were:

Socar – 8.79 lei/liter

OMV – 8.82 lei/liter

Lukoil – 8.89 lei/liter

Rompetrol – 8.98 lei/liter

Premium petrol prices were:

Petrom – 10.15 lei/liter

Mol – 10.27 lei/liter

Lukoil – 10.41 lei/liter

We remind you that a similar situation occurred at the beginning of this month, informed sources telling “Adevărul” that one of the reasons for the reduction in prices of premium fuels is related to the need to reduce stocks, in the context in which many drivers who preferred premium fuels have reoriented themselves to standard ones.

“In general, premium fuels marketed by oil companies have a low share in daily/monthly sales, and amid the developments, some of the premium fuel customers have reoriented towards standard fuels“, the quoted sources stated at the time.

At the end of September 2025, the Rompetrol distribution network in Romania included over 1,200 sales points. This includes own stations, partner stations and mobile (express) stations, and in 2026 the company announced the expansion of the network with another 13 new stations.
