Elon Musk vs. Sam Altman. A high-profile trial has begun
Musk and Altman will be among those testifying in a case where the future of artificial intelligence may be at stake. And while it's likely one of them will emerge victorious, it's equally likely that neither of them will emerge from this saga unscathed.
The fight is compared to two heavyweight boxers entering the ring. One observer compared it to the fight between King Kong and Godzilla, writes the BBC.

Musk is suing OpenAI and Altman, arguing that the company they founded together in 2015 has broken its original commitment to remain a nonprofit, and Altman “betrayed” both him and his founding purpose by transforming the company into a for-profit entity
OpenAI described Musk's lawsuit as a baseless “harassment campaign.” The company wrote in an X post on Monday that it “looks forward to presenting its case in court where both truth and law will be on its side.”
Musk and Altman met in court. “No special treatment”
The 10-person jury sworn in Monday will help determine the outcome under the supervision of Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers, who has vowed that the wealth, power and fame that Musk and Altman bring to the court will not bring them “no special treatment”.
Musk may be called to the podium on Tuesday to testifya. Musk's lawyers stated in January that he should receive compensation of up to $134 billion.
Depending on how long opening arguments last, Musk's lawyers could call the first witness to the podium on Tuesday. Musk and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella are among the names on their witness list.
A trial for the future of AI?
According to Newsweek, the trial may affect the company's future and the development of artificial intelligence. The case carries serious financial implications for OpenAI, and the reputational costs and financial damages Musk is seeking could potentially complicate the company's artificial general intelligence (AGI) efforts and its initial public offering, which is expected later this year.
