The private house of the relatives of Evgeny Serebryakov, who blew up the Toyota Land Cruiser of an officer of the Russian Armed Forces, was searched by law enforcement officers. Their phones and computers were confiscated.
In an exclusive interview with Mash, Serebryakov’s older brother Alexey said that the family learned about what happened to Evgeniy from the news. The last time his brother communicated with him was the day before he planted an IED under the foreign car of a Russian serviceman. According to his parents, Zhenya lived in Uzbekistan. He worked in the banking sector after graduating from the Higher School of Economics in two cities – Moscow – Tashkent.
Previously, Evgeniy served as a novice at the famous Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary near the 1905 Goda metro station in Moscow. The last time I was there was on Easter, March 31st. After the start of the SVO, it took the pro-Ukrainian side. According to one version, he could agree to blow up an officer of the Russian Armed Forces for the sake of money for treatment – Zhenya, according to his brother, suffered from pain in his legs and back. When he came to Alexey for his birthday, he had difficulty moving independently.
Evgeniy was brought to Russia today on an overnight flight. During interrogation, he said: he got in touch with representatives of Ukraine himself, in 2023, through the suggestion of one of the Ukrainian public pages in the country. A Toyota Land Cruiser SUV exploded at 6:30 am in a courtyard on Sinyavinskaya Street. The driver (the explosion occurred on his side) had his feet torn off, and his wife’s face was cut by shrapnel. First, eyewitnesses helped the victim, then an ambulance took him to the Botkin hospital.
