Number 2 in AUR indicates the “most ridiculous” argument invoked in defense of Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan

The leader of the AUR senators, Petrişor Peiu, said on Tuesday, when the censure motion against the Bolojan Government is expected, announced a day ago together with the former Deputy Prime Minister PSD, Marian Neacșu, that the argument brought in defense of the Prime Minister by his supporters does not stand up.

“The most ridiculous thing that the defenders of the Bolojan government say is that the dismissal of the executive would have “serious economic consequences”, wrote Peiu, in a post on Facebook.

Also, the president of the National Management Council of the AUR claimed that Romania already has “the highest inflation in the EU, around 10%, the biggest budget deficit in the EU, around 8%, the biggest trade and current account deficit in the EU, over 30 billion euros, three consecutive quarters of economic decline”.

Peiu also said that during the Bolojan government, “the decrease in consumption, for eight months in a row, frozen pensions for the second consecutive year, the highest interest expenses in the EU, over 3% of GDP” were also recorded.

“We are in full economic crisis under the Bolojan government, but do you want us not to change the government to avoid economic consequences?” asked the leader of the AUR senators.

PSD and AUR would submit the joint censure motion against the Bolojan Government on Tuesday, according to News.ro.

AUR leader George Simion indicated May 5 as the possible date of the vote on the motion of censure announced a day ago, in the plenary session of the Parliament.
