– We are ready to share the experience of America's failure with other members of the organization – announced Talei-Nik during a meeting of defense ministers of the SCO countries in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The statement of the representative of the government in Tehran was quoted by Reuters, citing Iranian state media.

An Iranian official recently held talks with representatives of the Russian and Belarusian armed forces, and Moscow and Minsk emphasized their willingness to continue cooperation with Tehran.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded on June 15, 2001 by China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India and Pakistan joined it. Iran obtained membership in 2023, a Belarus – in 2024

There is currently a ceasefire in the war that began on February 28 with the US-Israeli attack on Iran. Pakistan-brokered negotiations have not yet yielded a solution. The US – emphasized Reuters – informed that it was analyzing Tehran's latest proposal, but, according to unofficial reports, President Donald Trump is not satisfied with it.

This proposal – recalled the AP agency – would postpone discussions about the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic to a later date. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview on Fox News on Monday that it is necessary to “make sure that any deal that is concluded, any agreement that is concluded, definitively prevents Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons.” He added that there is no doubt that if the Iranian theocracy remains in power, “at some point in the future it will decide that it wants nuclear weapons.”

Asked whether he believed the Iranians were serious about concluding a deal, Rubio replied that they were experienced negotiators who wanted to buy time. “We can't let them do this,” he said. (PAP)
