In memory of his son, Alexandru, who died last year, Ionel Ganea is organizing another charity match

Through the “Alexandru Ganea” Association, recently established, former international Ionel Ganea is organizing on June 7, in memory of his son, who died last year following a car accident, a charity match between a team of former internationals and a team from Brașov county.
The game will take place at the municipal stadium in Făgăraș, from 5:00 p.m., and the sums collected from ticket sales are intended to support two children with health problems, Leon (11 years old) and Stelian (2 years old).
A match for many hopes
The first is the boy of the artist Ghedi Kamara. Leon suffers from spastic tetraparesis, a disease that prevents him from walking. He recently underwent surgery in Poland and the results for his first steps are encouraging.
Stelian is part of a large family, he has 6 more siblings. He suffers from Down's syndrome and the family, with limited financial resources, tries to cope with the situation, with the youngest needing numerous therapies and constant medical investigations.
Many internationals come to Făgăraș
Important names from Romanian football such as Gabi Balint, Dănuț Lupu, Ionuț Lupescu, Viorel Moldovan, Iosif Rotariu, Ioan Sabău, Bogdan Stelea, Răzvan Raț, Gabi Tamaș, Marius Niculae, Tiberiu Ghioane, Cătălin Cîrjan, Alexandru Dobre, Ionel and George Ganea announced their presence at the event.
And on the other side, of those who will represent Brașov, there are, among others, Alexandru Andrasi, Marin Barbu, Mugurel Buga, Ioan Mandoca, Romeo Surdu, Andrei Șanta.
Ionel Ganea said that “we are organizing such a match for the second time, in memory of our son, Alexandru. He will always remain in our hearts. And if we can no longer help him, my wife and I decided to try to, in Alexandru's name, support other children with problems who need help”.
Tickets for the event are of two categories and are sold on billete.ro. For those who will come to attend the match from the Municipal stands, in Făgăraș, the price of a ticket will be 30 lei. And for those who cannot make it to the event, but want to support the cause of the two children, ticket prices are between 5 and 200 lei.
