Ukrainian drones flew as far as the Ural Mountains. Kiev's record attack

— Ukrainian drones reached the Urals for the first time, covering a record distance. In Yekaterinburg, Russia's electronic countermeasures service aimed a drone straight at a residential building. Six Russians were injured. Unfortunately, no fatalities were recorded, writes Serhiy Sternenko, advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, in a comment on the record-breaking attack by Ukrainian drones.
Sternenko also recalls the complaints of Russian propagandists who draw attention to the fact that the drone flight lasted over 10 hours, and yet they were not destroyed by Russian anti-aircraft defense. He also adds that Ukrainian drones will strike at even greater distances.
Ukrainian drones feel at home in Russia
The fact that Ukrainian drones were able to fly as far as the Ural Mountains, hundreds of kilometers outside Moscow, is further evidence of the Kremlin's enormous problems in defending against long-range attacks by our neighbor. This includes: the result of a months-long campaign of the Ukrainian army, which at that time focused on eliminating various air defense systems in Moscow.
As reported by the “Tochnyi.info” website in its recent analysis, only between June 2025 and March 2026, Ukraine carried out over 490 strikes against Russia's arsenal of this type.

The growing holes in the Kremlin's air shield, combined with the fact that Russia is simply a huge country, make Ukraine feel more and more comfortable in this country's airspace. For now, there is no indication that this will change. On the contrary, attacks such as the one in Yekaterinburg show that the reality of war can reach ever further corners of Russia.
