Tragedy in Colombia. The number of victims after the bomb attack is rising

According to witnesses, an improvised explosive device exploded and damaged more than a dozen cars on a highway between the cities of Cali and Popayan.
The explosion occurred in the traditional area of activity of armed groups. Colombian President Gustavo Petro commented on the attack, describing the perpetrators of the attack as “terrorists, fascists and drug traffickers.”
More attacks in Colombia
A total of 11 attacks on military facilities and civilians were recorded in the country on Friday and Saturday, for which the authorities blame guerrillas from the Estado Mayor Central (EMC) group, led by the most wanted rebel in the country, Ivan Mordisco, the Infobae website reported.
EMC is a paramilitary group derived from the left-wing guerrilla group called the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), which fought against government forces for decades, but in 2016 signed a peace agreement with the authorities. However, the Mordisco faction refused to lay down its weapons and continues to fight against the government.
The series of attacks is increasing tensions in the campaign before the presidential elections scheduled for May 31, where the central issue is the issue of security.
