Cooling wave over Romania: where the rains come and how much the temperatures drop

The weather has been getting colder since Monday, April 27, throughout the country, with temperatures below the average for the period and rain in certain regions, according to the forecast issued by ANM.

The National Meteorological Administration announces that from Monday, April 27, the weather will cool significantly, first in the southern half of the country, and later in all regions. Temperatures will drop below normal values for this time of the year, but the wind intensity will be decreasing compared to the previous days.
During the day, this cooling will be felt most strongly in the south of the country, while in the other regions the thermal values will remain close to those of the previous days.
The sky will be generally clear, and the wind will blow weak and moderate, with some isolated intensifications in the east and southeast of the territory, where the gusts will reach 40-45 km/h. In mountainous areas, especially in the Eastern and Southern Carpathians, the wind will be stronger, with gusts of up to 60–70 km/h.
Maximum temperatures will fall between 11 and 19 degrees Celsius, while minimums will drop between -7 and 9 degrees.
During the night, in the north and center of the country, frost will form on local areas, and in other regions, especially in the depression and sub-Carpathian areas, this phenomenon will appear on restricted areas.
In the capital
In Bucharest, the cooling of the weather will also be felt, with daytime temperatures slightly below normal values for this date. The sky will remain mostly clear, and the wind will be light and moderate. The maximum temperature will be between 17 and 19 degrees, and the minimum will drop to 4-7 degrees Celsius.
