Three minors were hit by a car projected onto a square, following an accident on Drumul Taberei in the Capital

Three minors were hit by a vehicle projected onto a square, on Sunday, following a road accident on Drumul Taberei Boulevard in Bucharest.

According to a press release from the Road Brigade, quoted by Agerpres, the police were alerted by calling 112 regarding the occurrence of an accident on Drumul Taberei, near the intersection with Aleea Poiana Sibiului.

“The traffic police arrived at the scene and found that what was reported was confirmed, as it was an accident in which two vehicles were involved. From the first data, following the impact, one of the vehicles was projected into a group of three pedestrians (minors), located on the square”, the statement reads.

The cited source states that four people were transported to the hospital for medical care, namely the three pedestrians and one of the drivers.

Following the accident, traffic restrictions were applied on Drumul Taberei, from Ruxandra Marcu street to Sibiu street.

“The traffic police tested one of the drivers, the indicated result being 'zero'. The second driver could not be tested for medical reasons, biological samples will be collected at the hospital unit where he was transported,” informs the Road Brigade.

The police are conducting investigations to establish the exact causes and circumstances of the road accident.
