The President of Moldova arrived in Kyiv. She will visit Chernobyl

On April 26, on the 40th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Moldovan President Maia Sandu arrived in Kyiv. She reported this on the social network X.

Sandu noted that she would hold talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and go to Chernobyl “to honor the memory of those who gave their health and lives for Europe.”

“Disasters know no boundaries, and so does solidarity. Moldova stands shoulder to shoulder with those who build and do not destroy,” wrote the President of Moldova.

Zelensky, in his address on this day, recalled the Chernobyl accident and its consequences and called for preventing a repetition of the tragedy that the actions of the aggressor country, Russia, could lead to.
