This year, popular directions began to give up positions of unexpected routes. In comparison with the summer of 2024, more than the Siberians went to the North Caucasus, to Kalmykia, the Astrakhan region and to Chukotka.

In the summer of this year, the number of trips from Siberia to the Krasnodar Territory decreased by 14 % compared to the summer of 2024. In Moscow and the Moscow region, they visited 11 %less Siberians, the tourist flow for Altai decreased by 7 %, the number of Siberian tourists in Kazan decreased by 12 %. At the same time, some popular directions retained positions. For example, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad this summer attracted as many Siberian tourists as a year ago.

The brightest trend of the past summer is an increase in interest in the Siberians usually less popular among Siberians. For example, the number of trips to Kalmykia and the Astrakhan region increased by 10 %, and 2.5 times more Siberians went to Chukotka than a year ago. Kalmykia attracts tourists by Buddhist culture and unique steppe nature, the Astrakhan region – with lotus fields and gastronomic tours, and Chukotka – the opportunity to visit the eastern mainland of Russia – at Cape Dezhnev – and see whales in the natural environment.

The republics of the North Caucasus also accepted noticeably more travelers from Siberia: in comparison with the summer of 2024, their number increased by 85 %. The leaders in the growth of tourist flow-Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria.

In general, last summer, the Siberians more often chose routes where you can get a unique experience and relax away from big cities.

Good T2 coverage on tourist routes made it possible to determine places with the highest voice and Internet traffic on the user. At the calculation of one user, Siberian tourists most of all called in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and most of all swayed-in the Magadan region.
