Dinamo Bucharest pulled off a surprise against their great rival and qualified for the final of the National Championship

CS Dinamo Bucharest qualified for the final of the National Men's Volleyball Championship, after winning 2-0 in the series against the great rival CSA Steaua Bucharest. The band from Ștefan cel Mare will meet Arcada Galați in the last act, which won 2-0 in the semi-final with SCM Zalău.
One of the semifinals of the men's volleyball championship brought Dinamo and Steaua, the great rivals in Romanian sports, face to face. In the regular season, the military band had finished with 52 points, while their opponent had collected only 42 points.

Therefore, Steaua was considered the favorite to qualify for the final. In “quarters”, the red-blues beat Știința Bucharest 2-0, while Dinamo beat CSM Corona Brașov 2-1.
In the first match of the semi-final, the “dulai” managed to surprise away and won 3-2 (25-13, 23-25, 25-27, 25-22, 15-13). Therefore, the red and white team was returning to their home ground with high morale.
Steaua, however, won the opening set of the second match (25-22) and seemed determined to regain the home court advantage. 3 balanced sets followed, all won by Dinamo with the same score: 25-22.
Therefore, the team from Ștefan cel Mare won 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22), closed the series (2-0) and ended the surprise, qualifying for the final of the national championship.
The leaders of Dinamo Bucharest were Petar Premovic (23 points), Mircea Pețe (15 points) and Christian Fromm (14 points).
On the other side, Alexandru Rață and Josef Polak had 16 points each.
Arcada Galați, the second finalist, twice beat SCM Zalău 3-2
Arcada Galati and SCM Zalău fought for the other place in the National League final. The Danubians won the first match 3-2 (22-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-29, 19-17), coming back from 0-2 in sets.
At home, it was the Transylvanian team's turn to come back from 0-2 down, but the victory was also achieved by Arcada Galati, score 3-2 (25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 15-13).
Therefore, the runner-up in the regular season qualified for the final and will meet Dinamo Bucharest.
