In the Odessa region, on the night of April 25, a ship flying the flag of Panama was attacked by Russian drones while leaving the port. Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Alexey Kuleba announced this on Telegram.
According to him, the ship was working on transshipment of container cargo at the time of the strike. As a result of the attack, a fire occurred on board.
“The crew put out the fire on their own. The main thing is that no people were injured. The ship continued moving,” Kuleba wrote.
He also added that the port area and storage facilities were damaged.
In addition, the Russian army hit civilian infrastructure, injuring two people.
According to the State Emergency Service, as a result of the hits, three one-story residential buildings were destroyed, a utility building and seven cars caught fire.
As Oleg Kiper, head of the OVA, added, the fires that have arisen have now been extinguished.
Work continues on the ground to eliminate the consequences.
