Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Friday that he recently underwent surgery to remove an early-stage malignant prostate tumor. It published its annual health report at the same time.

“During the last inspection, a small tumor, less than a centimeter in size, was detected on my prostate. Tests showed that it is a malignant growth, in the early stage, without metastases,” Netanyahu wrote on the X platform.
He did not specify when the surgery took place, only emphasizing that it “eliminated the problem without leaving a trace.”
On this occasion, Netanyahu published an annual report on his health. He noted, however, that he delayed its publication by two months because during the war with Iran he did not want to give his opponents a reason to spread anti-Israel propaganda.
The 76-year-old prime minister's health has been regularly monitored since he underwent prostate surgery a year and a half ago. After returning to power in December 2022, Netanyahu was hospitalized several times, undergoing various procedures, including: pacemaker implantation in July 2023, hernia surgery in March 2024 and routine colonoscopy in May 2025.
