FCSB – Petrol 3-1. The champion of Romania mathematically secured her place in the first round for the Conference League preliminaries, after the victory in the sixth stage of the play-out.

FCSB has reached 36 points and can no longer fall below 10th place. Csikszereda, the team on 10th, is 9 points behind with 3 games remaining, and cannot overtake FCSB even if they win all the points and Bucharest lose all the remaining games.

In theory, the 7th and 8th place teams play in the play-off semi-final. Whoever wins faces the 4th place play-off for the Conference League preliminaries.

If one of the 7th or 8th placed teams does not have a European license, the next ranked team that has a UEFA license will play in the play-off. It goes like this until the maximum 10th place, the team in 11th place is no longer taken into account.

FCSB has mathematically secured the place in the first bracket for the Conference League

In this play-out, only 4 teams have UEFA license: FCSB, Botoșani, Csikszereda and Farul.

Farul is in 12th place and has 23 points and 4 games left. Mathematically, it cannot overtake FCSB, which has 36 points now.

Csikszereda ranks 10th, with 27 points. He is 9 points below the red-blues and I can't beat them anymore. The reason? FCSB did not benefit from rounding, so in the event of a tie, the second tie-breaker criterion would apply, who had more points in the regular season.

FCSB entered the play-out from 7th place, so they would have an advantage with any opponent in the event of a tie at the end of the season. It follows that the Bucharesters can no longer be overtaken by the Chiucani in the standings even if Csikszereda scores maximum points in the next 3 stages, and FCSB registers 3 failures.

FCSB got rid of Farul and Csikszereda and can no longer fall below 10th place

In conclusion, FCSB have already got rid of two UEFA-licensed opponents, Farul and Csikszereda. In addition, she can no longer fall below 10th place. So, she is mathematically sure of her place in the first place for the Conference League.

Botoșani is the next team in the ranking that also has a UEFA license. The Moldovans are the most likely opponents of the red-blues in the first round. The winner would play with the 4th place in the play-off.
