From Saturday to Monday inclusive, a liter of EU95 petrol will cost no more than PLN 6.17, EU98 petrol – PLN 6.71, and diesel oil – PLN 7.01 – according to the Friday announcement of the Minister of Energy. This means that the maximum prices of all fuels will increase on these days.

On Friday, a liter of 95 petrol costs no more than PLN 6.03, 98 petrol – PLN 6.62, and diesel – PLN 6.79.
The next announcement of the Minister of Energy regarding maximum fuel prices will be published on Monday and will determine prices for Tuesday.
In accordance with the regulations, the Ministry of Energy publishes an announcement on maximum fuel prices every weekday. The maximum price is valid from the day following its publication in Monitor Polski. If announced before non-working days and holidays, the rate applies until the next business day. Sales above the maximum price are subject to a penalty of up to PLN 1 million, and inspections are carried out by the National Tax Administration.
The maximum price is determined according to a specific formula, including the average wholesale price of fuels on the domestic market, plus excise duty, fuel fee, sales margin of PLN 0.30 per liter and VAT.
A regulation reducing VAT on fuel from 23 to 8 percent is in force until April 30. and a regulation reducing excise duty. Excise duty is reduced by 29 gr per liter of petrol and 28 gr per liter of diesel oil, i.e. to the lowest level allowed by the European Union. (PAP)
