Trump hits out at Iran: He's having great difficulty figuring out who its leader is

Iran is having great difficulty determining who its leader is, and the fight between radical and moderate representatives of the regime is “crazy,” US President Donald Trump said on Thursday. He declared that the US had “total control” of the Strait of Hormuz.

“Iran is having great difficulty figuring out who its leader is! It simply doesn't know! The infighting between the 'hardliners' who are suffering HUGE defeats on the battlefield and the 'moderates' who are not moderate at all (but are gaining respect!) is CRAZY!” – Trump wrote on his social networking site Truth Social.

He added that the US has complete control over the Strait of Hormuz and “no ship may enter or leave without the consent of the US Navy.”

“(The Strait – PAP) will be 'tightly sealed' until Iran concludes an AGREEMENT!!!” – he declared.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke on Wednesday about the fights between representatives of the radical and moderate camps in the Iranian authorities, explaining Trump's decision to extend the ceasefire with Iran, contrary to previous announcements. However, she said that the US intelligence services have information about who makes decisions in Iran.

Earlier on Thursday, Trump announced that American forces would shoot at boats laying mines in Hormuz and ordered a “triple” of the pace of mine clearance. (PAP)
