“This dialogue (with technology suppliers for the second nuclear power plant – PAP) is ongoing and will be continued with the goal of ending it in 2027. For now, we have three (potential technology suppliers – PAP): Canadians, Americans and French,” Wrochna told PAP Biznes.

He noted that Bełchatów and Konin are still treated as priorities for the location of the second nuclear power plant.

“Bełchatów and Konin are still the priority, with a possible backup: Połaniec, Kozienice,” said Wrochna, noting that the choice of location for the second NPP is also a matter of next year, probably mid-27.

On April 20, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said after a meeting with French President Emanuel Macron that France is a very serious potential partner when it comes to building the second nuclear power plant in Poland. He added that Poland is before the decision on the location of the future second nuclear power plant. (PAP Business)
