The dismissal comes less than four months after taking office. The losing streak is the first negative for the club since 1912.
Calum McFarlane will take over as interim manager until the end of the season. This was Rosenior's second in charge and he also led the team to a draw with Manchester City and a defeat to Fulham after the sacking of former manager Enzo Maresca.

Rosenior arrived at Stamford Bridge in January when he signed a five-and-a-half-year deal, but has won just 11 of his 23 games in all competitions.
After the 0-3 defeat at Brighton, the manager described the performance as “unacceptable”. Following the poor results, the team dropped to 7th place in the standings, with little chance of catching the Champions League.
